Home made wind turbine up and runningI made this wind turbine for under £200 with the intention of charging a series of 12v batteries which will hopefully be used to power the company computer / printer / scales / mobile phones and anything related to the business.
When the designed has been altered / improved slightly it will be great.
This project was alot of fun and not without mishaps.
I got the wind turbine up and running at about 4.30 am and it was flying very fast, I came down in the morning and the motor / fan assembly had detached at high speed and had partially wrecked the blade and the hub, I had to repair them and they will never be 100% but saying that the current blades are making over 1v per 1mph wind speed.

Wind generators are a good way of trying to cut down on energy use.
